We cannot say enough about our experience with Troost Brothers.They recently completed a total kitchen renovation and we couldn’t be happier. Jeff and Scott were honest, transparent and attentive to all of our questions and concerns, offering suggestions and alternatives when asked. Once the job started, we felt as if we were their only client! Before each day’s work began, Scott would explain what would be done. If there was an issue, he reached out immediately, and we would discuss and agree upon a resolution. No games, no surprises. At the end of the work day, they would do a tremendous clean up as well. A big shout out to John and Alex, who were not only talented craftsmen, but considerate and friendly gentlemen. Also, Ashley and Maria in the main office were extremely professional. We would hire Troost Brothers again in a heartbeat.

We contacted Troost Bros. for our kitchen/den renovation and couldn't be happier with the work that was performed. Jeff was on point with the estimating and extremely patient when we decided to not only do our kitchen but give the living room, dining room and foyer a face lift as well. Scott was ahead of everything needed during the entire five weeks of the renovation and kept things moving along at a fast pace. We would be remiss in not mentioning the office staff (Maria and Ashley) who are truly amazing or the gentlemen on the job every day. Carlos and Elvis are amazingly talented and took such care in not only the large details but the small ones as well. Due to all, our kitchen truly looks like something out of a magazine. Everyone treated our home with such respect and that is extremely important to a homeowner. I would recommend them to anyone! They are professional, kind, patient, artistic and approachable. We had several large changes and at no time did Butch make us feel like it couldn’t be accomplished. The work was very well organized and they were extremely neat. Ashley and Maria were always available to answer any questions we had. Butch and Vinny kept us informed throughout the whole process. We absolutely love cooking and hanging out in our new kitchen. We just finished a major renovation of our first floor including an addition, new open concept floorplan, kitchen, flooring, fireplace.

John, our head carpenter, was exceptional.  
Scott Troost was on site everyday and always kept me informed about what was happening, who was working on a particular day and the time they were coming. Communication was constant.

Troost recently finished a second project at my home - a kitchen renovation that involved removing a structural wall. They did a fantastic job during the rip-out, construction of the new support, and finishing touches. We also had flooring, tile,electrical, and plumbing work provided by Troost's sub contractors - the flooring and tile work went very well. I work full time from my home and the team working on my renovation didn't need to be babysat, and I was comfortable trusting them to complete tasks without oversight. I was not too satisfied with the electrician however Scott addressed my concerns and worked thru the issues, which could have been a stressful experience with another contractor. There are plenty of other contractors on Staten Island, however I had full confidence they were the 'right' contractor to work on my renovation. I would definitely hire them for my third renovation.

Throughout both processes we were included step by step through the process and our ideas and input were brought to fruition. As classic "DIYers," when time came to renovate our open front porch, we geared up to take on the project ourselves. As we considered what we were going to do, it soon became clear that the job was much more involved than we had imagined. Very fortunately for us, there is Troost Brothers. From our initial consult with Jeff, all through the construction and beyond, Troost Brothers provided us with an exceptional expertise and experience that far exceeded what we imagined. Troost's construction crews and subcontractors were always prompt and courteous as well as extremely professional and trustworthy. Troost's administrative staff was also there for us whenever a question or concern arose and Scot, our project manager, always kept us well-informed about what was going to happen next and when so we never felt "in the dark" about any phase of the work. Plus, Troost always kept to a standard 8-hour workday and left our property in tip-top shape so there were never any problems with the neighbors. Best of all, from soup to nuts, Troost was able to complete the project in the estimated timeframe (2 months.) In fact, it's going to take us longer to put on the "finishing touches" than it did for Troost to complete the entire renovation. It would have been a huge mistake if we decided to do the renovation ourselves because, in the end, Troost "had the tools" and delivered a far superior and more professional result than we "DIYers" could have achieved on our own. We absolutely love our new porch! As a residence adjacent to a commercial zone, the feedback we've received from our neighbors and the many passersby who watched the project unfold each day has been nothing but positive. Thank you, Troost Brothers, for coming to our rescue and leaving us with a high quality job we will enjoy for years to come!

If you need any work done on your home or business you must hire Troost Bros Inc. They have replaced 15 windows in my home with wood Pella windows, put vinal siding on 2 car garage, and have repaired areas on the outside of my home. The owners, Jeff & Scott are so knowledgeable. They are very honest and thorough and so nice to work with. The staff did an amazing job on all the jobs done. From their work you can see that they are true craftsmen. My home is from the 20's. The woodwork/trimming is all original. The windows being replaced were original w/the weights. The carpenters were meticulous with removing the wood trim and putting it back on after replacing the windows. They thoroughly cleaned up after completing the jobs. The staff is trustworthy, they were left unattended in the bedrooms when replacing the windows. All of these details are what makes them amazing!

We have contracted with Troost Brothers to complete several projects in our home. They included remodeling of the front of our house, two new bathrooms, floor re-finishing, and new windows. We hired Troost Brothers to do a remodel of the kitchen and one bedroom, a large and disruptive project under the best of circumstances. Our experience was a positive one for several reasons. First, the crew assigned to our house consisted of people who were not only experienced and efficient, but also courteous and pleasant; the crew chief was excellent, communicating to us any problems that came up, along with strategies to take care of them. Scott or Jeff Troost were onsite at some point every day to ensure things were being done correctly, and to see if we had any questions, or concerns. Troost DID NOT pull the crew to work on somebody else's project, so everything was done within 3 weeks. 
Was Troost the cheapest? No. Did Troost do an excellent job on this and other smaller projects we've had over the years? Absolutely. Do we recommend Troost to others? All the time.
